Initially accessible only in Gironde, online complaints are now possible throughout France.
First tested in Gironde since December 2023, the online complaint filing system becomes available throughout France on Tuesday October 15.
Not all requests will be handled by this new, entirely dematerialized approach. Only complaints for acts of damage to property (theft, damage, burglary, bank card theft, etc.) where the perpetrator is unknown can be filed.
How does it work?
This new system will be accessible to people of French or foreign nationality, businesses, administrations and associations.
To do this, users will first have to go to the site “ My Security“. After answering a questionnaire on the nature and validity of the offense, they will identify themselves directly on the France Connect site after validation of their file.
Depending on the information declared, a police officer or gendarme will contact them so that they can complete their initial declaration at the nearest police station or gendarmerie. Otherwise, the follow-up given will be sent by email.
