A PERFECT day for our Blues!

Second day in Linz for the French clan. A day marked by the end of qualifying and the first round of the mixed doubles table. A look back at the performances of our Blues today.

A pretty flawless

It was Audrey Zarif who had the mission of starting the day well for our French. Mission accepted and perfectly negotiated by the native of Saint-Denis who did not let herself be prayed to win in three short rounds over Matilda Hansson (3-0). A success which allowed the 2023 French champion to finish first in the group and qualify for the main draw. For her part, Camille Lutz had a little more pressure since she absolutely had to win to hope to reach the final table. A pressure that the eldest of the Lutz sisters knew how to negotiate well. Facing Anastasiya Dymytrenko, Camille played her game and won the important points allowing her to glean a second success in her group and join Audrey Zarif in the main draw.

After a first day punctuated by two victories, Léana Hochart returned to action this morning against the Portuguese Inès Matos. Combative, our Frenchwoman was as she had to fight hard to win 19-17. Thanks to this victory, Léana finished first in her group but nevertheless had to go through a final play-off match. Match that she won without flinching in three short rounds against the three-time reigning Polish champion, Katarzyna Wegrzyn.

It passes for doubles

Paired in doubles, Charlotte Lutz and Jianan Yuan easily dominated the Hanson / Reinol pair in the second round of qualifying. An encouraging, clear and flawless victory for a pair who are learning to discover themselves. Same thing for Prithika Pavade and Simon Gauzy who, in the main draw this time, won in three rounds against the Finns Naumi / Donner.
