Another missed opportunity

Léandro Trossard misses against Maignan. The Belgian tries a small bell, but the goalkeeper easily catches it. Frustrated, Arthur Theate kicks the goal post.

88′

The uninspired Belgians

The numerical superiority is not visible. The Belgians struggled against the French and wasted opportunities with poor passing decisions.

80′

Changes for Belgians

Tielemans and De Ketelaere give way to Lukebekio and Engels, we have to give everything to get back on track.

75′

Red card for Tchouameni

The French captain will leave the pitch earlier than the others! For having wrongly stopped Tielemans who was going alone on goal, he received a second yellow card and was excluded.

68′

France dominates

The French feel themselves growing wings and are pushing more and more. The Devils need to wake up and regain their enthusiasm from the first period.

62′

This time it’s a goal!

Nothing to complain about this time, France, via Kolo Muani, plants its second goal. A center, a head and it’s crystal clear. France came back in front, but the Belgians never managed to enter their second period.

57′

Goal canceled for France

We’re doing well! The Belgians were a little on the street, the French scored, but the VAR intervened. A French player touched the ball with his elbow.

51′

The Dembélé scare

Ousmane Dembélé gives the defenders a cold sweat, his shot finally goes just a meter wide, but the twirling PSG player knows how to be dangerous.

48′

French recovery

The Tricolores have returned from the locker room. They quickly push the Devils into their rectangle and Jules Kouné finds a shooting window, but which does not deceive Casteels.

Half time

The two teams neck and neck

What a first half! We will have had chances, goals and emotions. The Belgians deservedly equalized just before the break. The second half will be worth a watch!

Loïs Openda equalizes! Finally Mike Maignan is beaten! After a VAR check, his goal is awarded! He scores his 3rd goal with the Devils, his first since November 18, 2022.

GOAL FOR FRANCE

Randal Kolo Muani converts a penalty conceded by Wout Faes. The Frenchman doesn’t miss at all and sends the ball deep. The French lead and are well paid in this first half.

What Belgian occasions!

Incredible, the Devils are in a great moment and they get two huge chances, but Loïs Openda fails to make them happen. It was very close!

8′

Good start to the match

Neither team is hiding tonight. We got off to an engaging start to the match with some rhythm and we were enjoying it. Already a few small mistakes on our Devils, the French want to show that they are physically present.

1′

Already an opportunity for Belgium

It won’t have dragged on! Not even a minute of play and De Ketelaere offers a shooting window to Youri Tielemans. The captain doesn’t need to be asked, but his shot lacks power and doesn’t worry Mike Maignan too much.

Timothy Castagne answers our questions

“We have even more motivation and we want to stop this series (of defeats, editor’s note) and win the three points.”

It’s not easy“to beat France, recognizes the player.”We’re going to try to find things that work, but it’s definitely not easy. We didn’t do badly at the Euro, we started well in (during the first leg in the Nations League, editor’s note) but not enough. We’ll see what worked a little and we’ll try to put it all together today.”

20h08

Belgian humor

Obviously, the change between De Cuyper and Castagne inspires fans. We hope that the Devils will have more success on the field than Jean-Claude Dusse with the women…
