Very moved, Emma Daumas (Star Academy) confides for the first time that she was a victim of domestic violence

Invited in It starts today on 2 this Monday, October 14, Emma Daumas made moving confidences to Faustine Bolleart. The singer discovered in the Star Academy revealed that she had been a victim of domestic violence.

This Monday, October 14, celebrities visited Faustine Bollaert in the show It starts today on France 2. Keen’V, Ycare and Emma Daumas told their story on the theme “These artists who have learned to live with their flaws”. The singer who was revealed in season 2 of the Star Academy – won by Nolwenn Leroy – returned to her “immediate notoriety” after its media coverage on TF1. “There have been some very beautiful things and some much more difficult things to experience. At the age of 18 I went from absolute anonymous to celebrity overnight.“, she confessed about this adventure. An experience which followed for Emma Daumas depressive phases and addictions for “fill the void”.

Emma Daumas confides in the domestic violence of which she was a victim

Emma Daumas spoke about a painful period in her life after the Star Academy. “Self-destruction, it went as far as a toxic relationship in domestic violence. This is the first time I’ve said it so I’m a little emotional.. I wanted to say it, I needed to say it”she revealed about the domestic violence of which she was a victim. “It’s an integral part of my story and my journey so I have to start accepting it”she explained before delivering a chilling story: “It went that far. I had to see myself die, and a friend tell me: ‘Actually, now you have to run away because otherwise you’re going to die.’ And when I had this awareness, it was the beginning of the survival instinct which makes us go back up.”

Emma Daumas talks about her meeting with the father of her children

After fleeing this toxic relationship, Emma Daumas managed to cope by reconnecting with her family members and traveling around the world. “I needed to go somewhere else, to travel”did she justify her departure from France which allowed her to meet “people who [la] didn’t look like a star”. “A year later, I met the father of my children”she revealed about the happy ending of her story. Today, Emma Daumas is a happy mother of two children aged 5 and 11.
