Interviewed opposite Léa Salamé on France Inter last May, Bérénice Béjo spoke about her new short haircut that she chose to adopt during the filming of the Netflix film Under the seine that she is filming alongside Nassim Lyes. “Bérénice Béjo, there’s something we notice when watching the film, it’s that you cut your hair, a boyish cut that you always have in style. Why did you want to do this? It did me so much good
“That’s it I was a little tired, I couldn’t see my long hair anymoreI was always prepared in a certain way, I wanted to change and that really helped me, it did me so much good because all of a sudden I have a different energy. And this film (editor’s note: Sous la seine) did me a lot of good that I don’t even know what to do afterwards… well, yes now I know but it took a while to find and I think we really need to renew ourselves in our professions, we need to renew ourselves, we need to transform ourselves, people need to not get tired even if I’m not on screen every month, I wanted to change” replied the 48-year-old actress in a relationship with director Michel Hazanavicius.
Bérénice Bejo and her love of otters
Another slightly crazier question, Bérénice Bejo indicated that what animal she would be if she had to be reincarnated. Visibly attracted by water, the sea and the ocean, she responds “otter” ! “An otter because it’s cute, it’s a lot of fun, it’s a little aggressive so you don’t let it happen“.
