5 tries scored against only 1 conceded at the end of the match, the Brive players had a solid match. Something to satisfy Pierre-Henry Broncan, the CAB sports manager :
“We had a good evening, a good little match, very strong physically, with a very good defense which allowed us to recover turnover balls which we exploited very well (…) It’s still a beautiful production. Biarritz, I think they were mentally and physically ready for this match. But I think that our players were still very strong this evening, especially in all the duels, in all the impacts, particularly defensively and that is the point to underline.”

Not so trivial according to Pierre-Henry Broncan: “It’s important, it’s the 6th day, but it’s important, we were there before Mont de Marsan, we’re coming back this evening on the 1st (…) We’re moving forward”
Precisely the defeat 15 days ago, 33 to 11 at Mont de Marsan, left its mark on people’s minds, so there were no “ignites” in the Brivist camp, like the pillar, Simon Pierre Chauvac:
“We all said to ourselves in the locker room that 5 points against the first team is not nothing. But yes, you have to be careful all the same because sometimes you can get too excited and then you can take a suitcase outside(…) You have to stay humble and work as you do”.
