Montceau – The maker of blue gold in perfect symbiosis with the Ivory Coast

None knew Montceau-les-Mines and some were coming to for the first time. They both loved it. One day, the relations that Philippe Rouballay, the boss of Symbiose Technologies, established with Ivory Coast over the past nine years, had to find a gateway between this country located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in the Gulf of Guinea and its company specializing in both temporary and sustainable water treatment.

On the side of Abidjan, the economic capital of the Ivory Coast, encounters sanitation problems “on land which looks a bit like Venice” explains Philippe Rouballay who, along with the Ivorian delegation (10 people) was received by Madam Mayor at City Hall.

The Ivory Coast delegation, made up of representatives from the ministries of construction, the control office and the Bamba Corporation, spent three days in Montceau to visit Symbiose Technologies, wastewater treatment plants and meet with Véolia. “It’s the whole chain, all the water and sanitation players who came. They have the desire to do good things for their country and in Abidjan in particular and, of course, to develop partnerships. They are customers” indicates the boss of Symbiose.

Little by little, bonds are formed between them, they become closer. “We discuss frankly to find a common path. This is the beginning of wisdom,” he continues. Moreover, Ivorians prefer to work with structures like Symbiose Technologies than with large groups. In Abidjan, the project is to install a wastewater treatment plant equivalent to 24,000 inhabitants. “There are dozens to do” assures Philippe Rouballay who will need partners to complete this file.

Marie-Claude Jarrot could only rejoice at such cooperation. “Montceau responds to a demand thanks to a local company of which Philippe Rouballay, in the Sainte Elisabeth area, is a major player,” she says. “You are a shaper of blue gold,” she compliments him.

In Ivory Coast, we speak French and we will also talk about Montceau-les-Mines.
