“The chef’s surprise”, “The climate is special”: in Rome, supporters of the Red Devils do not hide their concerns

The Red Devils will face Italy on Thursday in Rome for their third match of the Nations Football League. Coach Domenico Tedesco will have to do without several executives, including captain Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Amadou Onana. Both teams had a disappointing Euro, concluded in the round of 16 for both.

Head to Rome this Thursday evening to watch the match between Italy and Belgium. The Red Devils want to regain some confidence after a delicate international break in September. They will be supported, in Italy, by Belgian supporters who continue to support them, but who do not display the same confidence as before.

In the streets, they are more shy, more discreet. Obviously, they are also a little less serene, the fault obviously of everything that is currently happening around the national team. “We ask ourselves a lot of questions, the climate is particular, the selection is questioned a lot”regrets Olivier, interviewed by Emiliano Bonfigli. “We wonder where we are going and the vision is no longer very clear, it’s quite destabilizing for the supporters”he then explains.

“We want to win, of course. But it’s not the same dynamic as some time ago. We hope to see a good match and a little more commitment than in the last match in he then responds when asked

“Nothing is going our way”

Opinions which seem to be shared by other Belgian supporters, encountered around the stadium. If we cannot speak of disenchantment, we can still feel a form of divide between the fans and the players.

“It’s difficult at the moment”recognizes Frédéric, who doesn’t really know what to expect this evening. “I don’t know anything about it at all, as much as we were optimistic before, here we are in full doubt. In terms of the selection, there are lots of problems. Players no longer want to come, Lukaku who is not injured and who doesn’t come… it’s difficult. The problem comes from Tedesco, they don’t want it anymore, they don’t want it anymore. he then curses.

“It’s not with today’s team that we hope for anything, but we remain optimistic all the same”Alain shifts into gear. “It’s the chef’s surprise”he quips. He too feels that something has broken between the fans and the national team. “The atmosphere around the coach, the disrespect of the supporters. Nothing is going our way and on the pitch it is felt, there is a locker room problem, it is not possible otherwise”this early supporter tells us.

The Red Devils will try to put a smile back on their faces from 8:45 p.m. A meeting to follow on RTL TVI and RTL Play!
