Scandal prevails in Turkey: Crying and shouting is not my job
Turkish football was shaken by a sex scandal involving a referee and a delegate, both employees of the Turkish Football Federation. The record of the relationship between former Beşiktaş football player Elif Karaarslan (24) and delegate Orhan Erdemir (61) is shared on social networks. The Federation expelled Karaarslan and Erdemir (61), who have been international referees for 61 years, from football. However, Karaarslan objected to the decision on Instagram:
“I still have a long way to go, but I will overcome this in the strongest and most determined way. Crying, shouting, being upset is not what I do. I will fight for myself until the end. I am just one of many. There are injured people and I hope I will be the last,” he said.
