In addition, his cell phone would have been located in the same area as Philippine’s during the same time slot, all elements which make him an extremely serious suspect. It is unknown whether or not he has admitted the facts since his placement in pre-trial detention in Switzerland.

Philippine, a 19-year-old student, was found dead on September 21 in the Bois de Boulogne. She had been seen for the last time the day before, while she was having lunch in the canteen of -Dauphine University. After geolocating her cell phone in the Bois de Boulogne area, her relatives organized a citizen search, which led to the discovery of Philippine’s partially buried body on the evening of September 21.

The teenager raped then asphyxiated

According to the autopsy report, Philippine died of asphyxiation without strangulation after being raped.
His funeral took place on September 27 at Saint-Louis Cathedral, in . More than 2,800 people attended, including a thousand on the square.
