There are four of them in the accused box. This Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the trial for the assassination of Abul Quayyem Ahmadzai27, opens in Colmar. His murder, which took place in August 2022, marked the city.

As a reminder, the young man, who arrived in France in 2017, worked at Stellantis, as France Bleu recalls. He had obtained asylum in mainland France, leaving his wife and children in Afghanistan.
The main accused is a 19-year-old man, he was 17 at the time of the incident. The other three appear either for complicity by being present at the scene, or as co-perpetrators of the crime by having provided the weapon in question.
According to France 3, the reason for the tragedy was the use of a scooter that Abul Quayyem Ahmadza found too noisy. The hearing will take place behind closed doors for premeditated murder. It will last until Friday October 11.
The main suspect risks between 20 and 30 years in prison.
