Olivier Faure, who defends the motion of censure brought by the left in the Hemicycle, denounced “an electoral hold-up”following the appointment of Michel Barnier (LR) as Prime Minister, while the New Popular Front (NFP) came first in the July legislative elections. “You cannot ignore the violence of this democratic hijacking”considered the socialist deputy.

The leader of the socialists then criticized “a Potemkin budget”, “a sham budget, presenting tax justice in the foreground intended to mask a much darker background », before detailing: “Those deprived of employment will undergo a new unemployment insurance reform, retirees will see their pension de-indexed, sick people will have a remaining charge of 4 euros for a medical consultation (…) all our public services, education, hospitals, security will be impacted, while they are already running out of steam. »
