The municipal council is involved in this action against cancer for the benefit of “Action cancer 47”

Great success for this first edition of the Pink October operation initiated by the municipality of Frespech. Proposed, organized and prepared in a very short time (one month) by the mayor Jean-Victor Delapart and the elected officials of the town, with the help of Evelyne Carpentier, jewelry designer and therapist who helped them a lot in bringing together the many partners and exhibitors. Jean-Victor Delapart thanked her warmly: “she made incredible efforts to put everything in place”. A very eclectic program for this solidarity and family day designed to raise awareness among the population about breast cancer, the importance of screening but also the opportunity to intensify research efforts in the fight against this disease. In the morning, 71 people set off on one of the three hiking circuits. Numerous stands of artisans, creators as well as care and beauty and gourmet stands were gathered in the village hall. Lots of applause for the men’s and women’s fashion show presented by the Elora boutique. In the cultural room, wellness and alternative medicine therapists were present to answer questions and needs, with stands perfectly arranged so that people wanting information and advice could do so in complete privacy. At the end of the afternoon, in the presence of MP Guillaume Lepers, Jean-Victor Delapart and Evelyne Carpentier presented Laurent Leroux, vice-president, and Charlotte Leroux, secretary of the “Action cancer 47” association, with the sum of 1,505.50 euros, a sum which will be increased by public participation in the concert given by the Roquentine choir “Laroque en Chœur” in the church of Frespech. The main objectives of the association “Action cancer 47”: act to increase participation in cancer prevention and screening, inform public authorities and health professionals of the difficulties encountered by the public, act to promote the free movement of information during screening campaigns, promote education on prevention and screening among young people, communication for deaf and hard of hearing people, return to sport during and after illness, support patients during treatment or in the post-cancer phase by setting up supportive care, financing research through donations.
