Publication } 10-05-2024

This Friday, May 10, the 2nd day of the 2024 French Baseball Challenge was held in Chartres and Rouen!

After a day full of twists and turns and close encounters, we know the poster for the semi-final.

In Chartres, the Cometz won against Toulouse: 4 to 2 (after a historic first victory the day before) and consolidated their place in the competition. Then comes the meeting between Savigny-sur-Orge and Montpellier: a close and difficult match during which the Lions were able to snatch a 2-1 victory.

The last match of the day pitted Stade Toulousain against the Montpellier Barracudas. This final meeting was mainly dominated by the Barracudas who led 10-0 until the 5th round. Despite a strong comeback from Toulouse, Montpellier won the match 10 to 6.

In Rouen, the day began with a match between the Huskies (at home) and the Montigny-le-Bretonneux Cougars. A thrilling match where the two teams were tied (1 to 1 then 2 to 2) and had to be decided after 3 additional rounds. Rouen finally won the match after 10 rounds of play and thus eliminated Montigny from the competition.

The second match of the day pitted Sénart against La Rochelle. The Templars are largely victorious, winning 9 to 1. The Boucaniers will therefore be the opponents of the Huskies for the last meeting of the day. At the end of a close match, La Rochelle won 4-1 and the Rouen Huskies were therefore eliminated from the race for the 2024 title.

We now know the four semi-finalists of the 2024 French Baseball Challenge!

Indeed, for this semi-final, Metz will face Montpellier and Sénart will face La Rochelle in Rouen.
