The League Against Cancer is organizing Health and Prevention Day. On the program, the traditional hike for the benefit of the association.
For the second year in a row, the local delegation of La Ligue contre le cancer and the community of communes of Artagnan en Fezensac are organizing the Health and Prevention Day. It will take place on Saturday October 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Vic-Fezensac multipurpose room.
As part of Pink October, the day will begin with the traditional hike for the benefit of the association, starting from the multipurpose room. Throughout the day, free stalls and workshops for all ages are offered. You can thus be made aware of domestic and road risks (via a two-wheel simulator), the benefits of sports practice or the use of social networks. The firefighters will demonstrate lifesaving actions.
Also, activities around nutrition, memory, or laughter yoga will be offered to you by the partners present. Health professionals will raise awareness of female and male cancers and will carry out screenings as part of the ICOPE program (for this, bring your smartphone or tablet!).
You will also be able to find information related to disability or Alzheimer’s disease, in particular. To end this day, the Al Andalus association is organizing a Salsa-Bachata-Kizomba evening from 8 p.m., for the benefit of Pink October. Information from Al Andalus.
