COPS have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on a bus.
Northumbria Police launched an urgent investigation after reports that a teenager was sexually assaulted from Newcastle city centre.
The force received a report that a teenager got on to the number 30 bus on John Dobson Street in Newcastle city center sometime between 9.30pm and 9.45pm on Friday, January 26.
While sitting on the bus, a man unknown to the teenager has sat next to her and touched her without permission.
The offender has then attempted to obstruct the victim’s exit before she managed to get off the bus.
An investigation has been launched into the incident and a number of inquiries have been carried out.
The man cops want to talk to was in the area at the time the offense is reported to have taken place.
Officers believe he could be able to assist them with their enquiries.
