Blangy-le-Château: a (busy) day around books at the Le Jardin des Muses bookstore

They are forty to have already responded to the invitation of Christophe Lhermittebookseller based in Blangy-le-Château (Calvados) for a little over a year.

Remember, this month of February 2023the new arrival from Castelblange promised to bring his bookstore to all audiences, and to organize multiple events.

Commitment already kept with several events, but for this new meeting, the bookseller hits hard: nearly 30 authors, illustrators and editors will be present, accompanied by four booksellers, four book artisans (binder-gilder, restorer, illuminator, calligrapher) and several artists (storyteller, actor, organist, singer, etc.).

Without forgetting the participation of journalist-writer Jérôme Garcin, neighbor of Mesnilois.

Meetings and events

The public will therefore be able, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., go meet all these professionals to discuss their shared passions for books, and have their favorite works signed. The artisans will present their know-how and achievementsand the artists reserve some surprises that we cannot of course reveal.

Several meetings will also punctuate this day: 11:30 a.m., tales in the garden of the old gendarmerie; has 2 p.m., large dictation at the green theater (adults and children); has 3 p.m., storytelling again in the garden of the old gendarmerie, with a gathering of disguised children before a stroll through the village; has 5:30 p.m.award ceremony for dictation and disguises at the Théâtre de Verdure: at 6:30 p.m., to end the day in style, piano/voice recital by Léonor Stirman who will sing Barbara in front of the bookstore.
