Russia says it shot down 21 Ukrainian drones
The Russian army announced this Monday morning that it had shot down 21 Ukrainian drones, including 12 over the territory of Crimea, a peninsula annexed by Russia.
“During the night, attempts by the kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks with aerial drones against sites on Russian territory were prevented”said the Ministry of Defense in a press release. He clarified that “air defense systems destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones”. Six were shot down over the Kursk region, the scene of a major Ukrainian offensive since August, and twelve aircraft were shot down over Crimea.
Fire at an oil depot in Feodossia, Crimea
This Monday morning, local authorities announced that a fire had occurred in an oil depot in Feodossia, west of Crimea. In a statement, the Crimean government said that “fire broke out in the Feodossia oil depot”.
For the moment, no link has been established with the Ukrainian nighttime drone attacks. According to the same source, firefighters and rescuers were dispatched to the scene and a state of emergency was declared in the city.
