The events occurred on the night of Tuesday May 7 to Wednesday May 8, shortly before four in the morning.
The 100 square meter wooden pavilion, built on two floors, was not inhabited at the time of the fire.
“Two pumps, a ladder and a command vehicle were mobilized”, indicates the fire and rescue service of Corsica-du-Sud (Sis 2A). This Wednesday morning, firefighters are still on the scene.
The police also went to the scene.
An investigation was opened by the Ajaccio public prosecutor’s office and entrusted to the Porto-Vecchio gendarmerie. “The origin of the fire, however, appears to be accidental.”indicates the prosecution.
