The 2024 winegrowers’ meetings were hosted in Port Camargue

The 2024 winegrowers’ meetings of the PETR Vidourle Camargue vineyard and discovery destination were hosted by the commune of Grau-du-Roi in Port Camargue for its 2nd edition this Friday, April 26.

Represented by Ms. Josiane Rosier-Dufond, vice-president of tourism and Mr. Pierre Martinez, President of PETR, the emphasis was placed on the partnership with Hérault and Gard Tourisme and the Interprofessional Council of AOC Wines of Languedoc and IGP Sud of France.

The vice-president affirmed her wish to carry out the ambitions of the territory following the renewal of the label in conjunction with the tourist offices and all professionals.

The “Vignobles et discoveries” brand and the “Vignobles Vidourle Camargue” destination

On June 18, 2020, the Wine Tourism Destination “Vignobles Vidourle Camargue” obtained the national label “Vignobles & Découvertes” carried by the PETR and 3 other partners:

– The Interprofessional Council for AOC Wines of Languedoc and IGP Sud de France,
– Gard Tourism,
– Hérault Tourisme.

The right to use the brand was renewed on October 18, 2023 for a new period of 3 years.

On a regional scale, this label testifies to the involvement of all stakeholders (wine growers, accommodation providers, restaurateurs, tourist office, etc.) in working together for the development of a quality tourist offer around the vine, combining aspects of discovery (circuits, visits, natural sites, know-how, museum, etc.), hospitality (winemakers, accommodation providers, leisure activities, workshops, cellars, etc.) and events (festivals, exhibitions, conferences, etc.). ).

For tourism and viticulture professionals, the label allows:

• To improve the readability of the offer in the multiplicity of products and names,

• To increase attendance and tourist consumption thanks to this attractiveness factor,

• To promote the Tourism outlet for the wine industry.

This approach promotes and runs a network of more than 110 ambassadors in the region (wine growers, accommodation providers, restaurateurs, tourist offices, leisure activities, events, incoming agencies, sites and heritage sites) who now individually and collectively bear this national label.

This wine tourism approach is part of a broader strategy that is the PETR territory project, as well as the ongoing “Country of Art and History” labeling which will be a strong lever for tourism and recognition of the territory. .

The 2024 Winegrowers Meetings: The spring meeting for tourism and wine stakeholders

  • Meeting in the format of a “tasting” workshop around a buffet and the appellations of the destination, which brings together 7 AOP and 4 IGP, and more particularly:
  • The AOP Sable de Camargue,
  • The AOP Muscat de LunelAnd the 2 AOP Languedoc Saint-Christol and Sommières.

An opportunity to allow exchanges between different tourism professionals before the start of the 2024 season and allow everyone to disseminate their offers. This moment is organized by PETR Vidourle, in partnership with tourist offices.
