After a 12-day crossing from Athens, the Belem is expected in the Phoenician city this Wednesday, May 8, with the Paris 2024 Olympic flame on board.

An exceptional event to watch live from Marseille in our special edition on TF1 and TF1+, presented by Isabelle Ithurburu and Gilles Bouleau, as well as on social networks, with our journalist Paul Larrouturou.

The flame finally arrives, and Marseille lights up. The Marseille city welcomes the Belem this Wednesday, which is carrying the Olympic flame on board and which is docking after a 12-day journey from Athens. Nearly 150,000 spectators are expected to attend the parade of the legendary sailboat, scheduled all day until the welcoming ceremony from 7 p.m. The arrival of the flame on French soil will mark the start of four months of celebrations, starting with the torch relay which will meet the French in more than 400 cities before the start of the Olympic Games.

To follow this exceptional event, Gilles Bouleau and Isabelle Ithurburu present a special edition on TF1 from 9:30 a.m., and throughout the day. Accompanied by editorial correspondents, they will receive many guests on set. From 4 p.m., the arrival of the flame will be co-broadcast by TF1 and LCI (channel 26).
