This Tuesday, May 7, Sébastien Cauet, accused of rape and sexual assault by five women, was dismissed by the Paris commercial court. The host requested compensation for his contracts between his companies and NRJ. Among the complainants, a young woman is from Mâcon, in Saône-et-Loire.
The commercial court has rendered its decision concerning Sébastien Cauet, accused by five women of rape and sexual assault. The radio host asked for compensation after his withdrawal from the NRJ antenna, but that will not happen.
Cauet was rejected according to Le Parisien, when he requested compensation for his contracts between his production companies and NRJ. But the courts ruled that they were “decay” since the accusations. Cauet demanded nearly 4.4 million euros on the radio.
Cauet was heard on Monday March 18, 2024 by the Paris commercial court.

Among the five complainants, one of them comes from Burgundy. In November 2023, Julie, a young woman from Mâcon, claims to have been raped twice when she was 16 and 24 years old by Sébastien Cauet. In the process, four other people made similar accusations against the radio host.

In an interview for France 3 Bourgogne, Julie recounted the facts a few months ago. In 2014, she was invited by the host to Geneva after a meeting as part of a competition. Passionate about radio, Julie takes a model to play to her idol at the time. “We meet at the hotel. He tells me to sit down and let him listen. He stands next to me and pulls his pants down a few inches. He asks me to give him oral sex. He tells me that’s how we succeed.“
In 2022, Julie meets Sébastien Cauet again. “One evening, we meet in front of the NRJ studio and he brings me back. I get in his car and it starts again. He forces me verbally.“She filed a complaint a year later, in Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain), on November 18, 2023.

Subsequently, four other complaints of rape and sexual assault were filed by four other women. Which did not surprise the first complainant. “I’ll tell you frankly: it didn’t surprise me at all that others spoke. Me, I’m the little country girl from 71. If he could have done it to me… there are people in Paris. He could have done it to others.“
The host completely denies the facts, and has taken legal action to “attempted extortion by an organized gang” And “slanderous denunciation”. A few months ago, NRJ made the decision to remove it from the air.
