He will return to the lecture hall where his father, the late Mohamed Salah Baouendi, a renowned mathematician, had taught and where, when still very young, he had sometimes accompanied him there. Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2023, Moungi Bawendi will be the guest of honor this May 22 in Tunis, at the Festival of Engineering, Sciences and Technologies, organized by ADENIT.

This initiative, benefiting from the sponsorship of ENIT, is launched by the Association of ENIT Alumni, chaired by Amine Boussarsar, who mobilizes its network of academic and industrial partners, as well as EVEY.LIVE. It will continue on May 29 and will be marked in particular by a tribute to the founder of the School, Mokhtar Latiri. His daughter, Dora, who has just dedicated a book to him under the title “Mokhtar Latiri, An engineer with a camera on his right wrist” will specially travel to Tunis to participate in this festival and present his work.

It will kick off on Wednesday May 22, 2024 with an inaugural conference by Professor Moungi Bawendi, followed by a debate moderated by Professor Rifaat Chaabouni.

On the program for the second day which will be held on May 29, 2024, interventions by Chiheb Bouden, Ouael Chouchanen Rached Dghfous, Lilia Sifaoui, Jamel Ksibi, Karim Gharbi, Walid Belhadj Amor and Seifeddine Radhouani. A second sequence dedicated to culture will include interventions by Dora Latiri, Abdelhamid Bouchank and Ghofrane Heraghi.

The objective of this festival, as explained by ADENIT, is:

to be the place for meetings and opportunities between industrial and academic players on subjects linked to major projects.

to exhibit, promote and inspire through achievements and major projects focused on science, technology and innovation in various fields and specialties

to promote and promote engineering professions with a multidisciplinary and transversal connotation, the trademark of ENIT.
The participation of Nobel Prize winner Moungi Bawendi will give this Festival of engineering, science and technology a very special dimension.
