Canada: “serial killer” accused of three murders in a few days

A woman considered a suspected “serial killer” was charged Friday with three murders committed this week in Toronto and two other Canadian cities, police said. Sabrina Kauldhar, 30, was arrested Friday at a hotel in the Toronto suburbs, quickly identified thanks to surveillance cameras.

She is accused of murdering a 60-year-old woman at her Toronto home, whom she knew. She then appears to have targeted her victims at random. First, a 47-year-old man in a Niagara Falls park. Police found him after responding to emergency calls. His death was noted in the park itself.

Another woman wanted

The alleged murderer then attacked a 77-year-old man in a Hamilton parking lot. The retired teacher suffered “significant injuries that appear to have been caused by stab wounds,” police said in a statement. He later died in hospital.

A woman, who provided clothing to Sabrina Kauldhar, is currently being sought by police to determine her role, according to Radio Canada. The police are also mobilized to ensure that there are no other victims or other events linked to the alleged perpetrator.

“She’s a serial killer,” said Bill Fordy, police chief in Niagara, one of the areas where the killings took place, which took place over three days, from Tuesday to Thursday. He indicated that the accused had already had dealings with the law without providing further details, again according to Radio Canada.
