On April 2, 2021, a six-year-old American child died in hospital after succumbing to illness. A video shows that days before the young boy’s death, his father forced him to run on a treadmill going at a speed far too fast for him. The father has been on trial since April 30, 2024 for murder.

The images are chilling. A father is currently on trial for the murder of his 6-year-old son, Corey, in Ocean City in the United States, reports The Sun. Multiple accounts indicate that Corey said his father ordered him to run on a treadmill “because he was too fat.”

And one session in particular will turn into drama. Corey was admitted to the hospital with signs of fatigue and vomiting. He died a few hours later from his injuries.

An initial autopsy revealed that Corey died of “blunt force injuries, as well as heart and liver contusions, acute inflammation and sepsis,” reports The Sun. But six months later, a second autopsy determined that Corey was the victim of chronic violence and that it was indeed a homicide. The trial against the father continues.
