Vincent Matheron, the Marseille skateboarder who dreams of gold in Paris, will carry the flame on May 8 in Marseille.

The Bowl du Prado in Marseille is his second home. Since he was four years old, his uncle and his father put a skateboard under his feet and passed on his passion for this urban board sport.

Even if he is attached more than anything in the world to the Prado skatepark, Vincent Matheron has traveled all over the world and met the legends of the discipline. Today he is one of the best skateboarders on the planet.

At 21, he moved to California and impressed the legend Tony Hawk with whom he collaborated and at the same time he climbed the steps of the biggest competitions. Captain of the French skateboard team in 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics, he participated just recovered from injuries and finished in 7th place.
He then finished 3rd at the Tampa Pro (Florida) in 2022 and 3rd at the Copenhagen Open Bowl/Pool (Denmark) in 2023.

In Paris a bowl will be built on Place de la Concorde. “We are offered a good place but we will not know the route until the last minute”, explains the Marseille native. “We will have one minute and a half to prove ourselves and we will be noted on the speed, originality, and difficulty of the tricks”, figures, Vincent tells us, who shines with his original figs.
