The actor and director Michel Blanc, figure of Splendid, died in the night from Thursday to Friday at the age of 72. The actor would have undergone a medical examination with a contrast product, making it possible to distinguish the vessels and possible abnormalities in the organs during an imaging examination.

It is this product which would be the cause of his anaphylactic shock.

Guest of “Morandini Live” live on Cnews this Friday morning, Dr Dan Bensadoun explained what would have happened.

Anaphylactic shock is a violent allergic reaction to a food, a medicine or a wasp, bee or hornet sting, but remains very little known to the French even though it is potentially fatal.

Warning signs may include hives on any part of the body, swelling of the throat or mouth, difficulty swallowing, breathing or speaking, nausea and vomiting, and abdominal pain.

It can therefore affect the respiratory tract (pharynx, larynx, throat), we therefore speak of laryngeal angioedema. In this case, there is a risk of death from asphyxiation if we do not intervene quickly. Respiratory problems appear quickly: cough, breathing difficulties, wheezing when inhaling, but heart problems can also occur, particularly with the collapse of the heart rate.
