Among the must-see Netflix titles this weekend is the true crime series inspired by the true story of the death of Asunta Basterra, Asunta, currently among the most watched Netflix series in Italy; the biopic on the life and career of Gianna Nannini, Sei nell’anima and the drama series with Jeff Daniel about the world of business, A true man.

The choice is yours and enjoy!

Asunta because it is a very well-made detective mini-series

Asunta is a beautifully crafted new crime miniseries from Netflix inspired by the true story of the death of 13-year-old Asunta Basterra at the hands of her adoptive parents. In second place among the most watched Netflix series of the moment, behind the Baby Reindeer phenomenon, Asunta is a Spanish series that divides the screen and goes straight to the heart thanks to the frank, concrete and sometimes brutal story of a murder which actually happened and is considered one of the most shocking crimes in Spanish history. On September 21, 2013, Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra reported the disappearance of their daughter Asunta, who was found dead a few hours later near a road on the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela. The clues found by the police immediately seem to point in the direction of Rosario and Alfonso. The news shocks the city and the nation. What could make two parents kill their daughter? And what is hidden behind the perfect family facade?

You’re in the mood because it’s the first biopic on Gianna Nannini

A biopic about Gianna Nannini, Sei nell’anima is a film directed by Cinzia TH Torrini starring Letizia Toni in the role of the Italian female rock icon. A fragment of the story of one of the most incisive and renowned voices in our music, thirty years told from childhood, from the roots of his life and career, to his consecration, through a turning point which is clearly divided into two parts. Gianna’s life, so much so that it is considered her true birth: the year 1983. “You are in the soul” takes the audience on a journey into the life and creative spirit of a woman capable of shape emotions with poetry and music. A singular, revolutionary artist, beyond any schema and definition, in constant search of inspiration, of transformation, who has made music and freedom her manifesto. Well done Toni in her performance but the film lacks predictability.
