Raymond Boucher died on September 23, surrounded by his loved ones, at his home in Saint-Donat. The one who played an important role in the history of advertising in Quebec was notably recognized for having orchestrated mergers and acquisitions in order to create the agency BBDO Montreal. He has also been involved in provincial and federal political campaigns, in addition to serving on several boards of directors. He also served as president of the CHU Ste-Justine Foundation, where he led the campaign Grow healthy launched in 2002 to finance infrastructure and support research.

« We will remember Raymond as a very direct man, testifies Jean-Jacques Stréliskiassociate professor at HEC Montréal. An affable, lucid leader in concrete action. A brilliant strategist and manager. He was able to successfully achieve a triple merger (PNMD-Publitel, Scali and PNMD-BBDO). A discreet man in appearance, he was animated by an unusual audacity, even a magnificent nerve. On a personal level, I owe him a lot, among other things, for bringing me back from to Montreal in 1995. And for giving me free rein to harmonize the creative and planning products, letting me take a leading role within the agency. With a great sense of humanity and humor, it was difficult not to like Raymond Boucher. Like we love a brother or a father. The kind of discreet giant that we won’t soon forget. »

Pierre Nolinanother publicist who worked closely with Raymond Boucher, gave this testimony: “He was a direct, frank, humane and honest man! Sensitive for those who knew him. Gifted with great talent which allowed us to learn in his presence. It allowed Nolin Branding + Design to grow. By working alongside Raymond professionally, we have made great achievements together. I’m going to miss him! »

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Mont-Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont. A memorial service will be held from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in his memory to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation.
