This Wednesday, October 2, 2024, an impressive fire broke out in a residential area of Poitiers.
According to Centre-Presse, around 10:30 a.m., a vehicle from the Monsieur Store company, specializing in the sale and installation of blinds and pergolas, caught fire in Impasse Lecoin, located near rue de la Bugellerie.
Two craftsmen on site, no injuries
At the time of the incident, two company craftsmen, who were working in the courtyard of a neighboring house, suddenly saw their Renault Master burst into flames. Fortunately, the vehicle was stationary and unoccupied, preventing any injuries. The workers immediately alerted the emergency services.
The firefighters intervene quickly
Poitiers firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after the call, mobilizing two fire engines to bring the fire under control. Thick black smoke, visible from the surrounding area, was escaping from the burning vehicle. The fire was quickly contained, avoiding any risk of spreading to neighboring homes, particularly near the Nelson-Mandela high school.
