On the night of Monday September 30 to Tuesday October 1, 2024, firefighters had to intervene, in quick succession, on three fires in the Massillon district of . The first fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at 74 rue Malherbe. The fire had started in a cellar where various odds and ends were stored. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire while GDRF and ENEDIS moved to secure the building. During this time, around ten residents had to be evacuated.

It was an hour after the first call, around 4:20 a.m., that the firefighters were called, this time to 47 rue de Zurich, the next street. This time it involved a trash fire under the stairs in the lobby as well as a trash can in front of the entrance. Here again, GRDF and ENEDIS were called and 5 people were evacuated during the intervention.

Barely a few minutes later, another fire, this time in front of 9 rue Michel-Dubosc. It was a Volkswagen car that was set on fire. The fire spread to an Audi vehicle and damaged the facade of the building. The three fires caused no casualties. According to our information, no arrests have yet taken place.
