New road drama. This Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the Hérault firefighters intervened on the southern lane of the A709 motorway, in the direction Montpellier – Nîmes, for an accident, at PK 99 at Port Marianne, in Montpellier.
A car rear-ended a truck. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man, was injured while his passenger, aged 20, died.
The driver of the truck, aged 40, is of Hungarian origin. He wouldn’t be hurt. Firefighters are still on site.
At this time, the circumstances of the accident are not known. Traffic remains disrupted in the area.
