As its new album comes out this Friday, the group Coldplay continues its world tour. First in Australia at the end of the month, before passing through India, in the city of Mumbai. A highly anticipated event that did not go unnoticed. The 180,000 places were sold in just a few minutes last week. However, as the BBC reports, some tickets are resold on the black market… for up to 9,600 euros! Nearly 10 million people connected on the site to try to obtain the precious sesame.

Our British colleagues report that ticket sales were allegedly rigged. Some malicious Internet users could have used software to bypass queues on the sales platform, in order to buy dozens of tickets and thus resell them at full price. Prices well beyond those of the official sale, between €26 and €128 per place. The BookMyShow site denies having participated in this malicious organization and calls on fans not to buy tickets on the black market.

A controversy which comes just a few weeks after the chaotic sale of tickets for the next tour of the group Oasis. For its return, the producers had chosen dynamic pricing, with prices that change according to demand.
