To the great dismay of fans of versus fightingthe license Dead or Alive of Koei Tecmo et Team Ninja has been more dead than alive in recent years. It must be said that Dead or Alive 6 pulled the string with its abusive commercial practices on the side of DLCnotably its four Season Pass each costing much more than the base game or selling single-use $1 tickets to change a character’s hair color. Since April 2020, the license has therefore been at a standstill… except on the side of its spin-offs Xtreme basically centered on beach sports and mainly serving to highlight the fighters of the saga in light outfits. In parallel with Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet, the until Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation was launched in 2017 and is still going stronghaving again recently welcomed new “Venus” as the publisher likes to call them. On the occasion of Tokyo Game Show 2024it’s a spin-off of this sub-series which was introduced, called Venus Vacation PRISM: DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme.
This new game signed Koei Tecmo et Team Ninja will take the form ofan immersive first-person romance adventure and will be released in early 2025 on PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam (regionally blocked) and DMM GAMES Playerboth in Japan and Asia with English subtitlesas stated on its official website. As you will no doubt have understood, there is very little chance that an international version will see the light of day, but it will therefore still be possible to import it and benefit from it. Given the type of this experience, this is perfectly understandable.
Only six female characters from DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation will be included with it to start Misaki (Minami Tsuda) as shown in this first teaser video. The other five will be revealed from October 7.
