The 24th edition of the Quebec Business Women Prize competition was held Thursday in Montreal and Jennifer Poiré from Plessisville emerged winner in her category.

The Quebec Business Women Prize is the only competition aimed exclusively at business women in Quebec. The competition aims to recognize and promote the excellence, dynamism and audacity of business women from all regions of the province.

The competition honors a dozen women from various backgrounds and sectors of activity. They are recognized as actors of positive change in the economy through their careers and their professional achievements.

Jennifer Poiré won the “Impact Entrepreneur” award in the “Company with the most international recognition” category.

She is President and CEO of the Castech/Plessitech Group, one of the leaders in the mining, pulp and paper, aluminum smelters and energy industries in Quebec and internationally.

Ms. Poiré has more than 20 years of experience in the field of metallurgy, machining and manufacturing. She stood out for her skills in negotiating with international clients, her organizational development skills and her sense of leadership.
