“In fact, we have something that belongs to you and we hope to return it to you”: during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Gosling received mail… several years old!
Well almost. During the filmed sequence, the journalist who interviews Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, in full promotion of their latest film The Fall Guy by David Leitch, calls on the actor to return a mysterious letter that one of his colleagues received by mistake.
“This is totally random and not a joke at all.”, specifies the journalist. “A colleague at Entertainment Weekly knows someone who accidentally received your mail with an old address. Obviously it’s not open because it’s illegal.”
Plot, Ryan Gosling asks to see the letter in question – which looks like a check according to the journalist. Emily Bluntalso surprised, has an idea: “Maybe it was for Young Hercules.” Ryan Gosling is known for having starred in the series Young Hercules – or Hercules versus Ares chez nous – broadcast between 1998 and 1999, spin-off of the Hercules series with Kevin Sorbo which presented a teenage version of the hero.
“The American Society of Composers?“, bed Ryan Gosling on the envelope. “Do you write music?“, request Emily Blunt, completely surprised. “Isn’t that the right Ryan Gosling? Is there another Ryan Gosling?”, she adds, stunned.
“My name is Bryan Rosling so I don’t know who Ryan Gosling is”, replies the actor, trying to remain as serious as possible, which provokes an explosion of laughter from his colleague. “We need to find this ‘Ryan Gosling’”, he adds.
Asked if she was curious about this mysterious letter, Emily Blunt does not hide his desire to open it: “Yes, I kind of want to open it but maybe in the privacy of your own home.”
During this time, Ryan Goslinghe can’t believe it: “It’s incredible”, he exclaims, exchanging a perplexed look with his partner on screen.

“Did I upset you?”, he asks her. “It was pretty crazy”, replies the actress, still in shock.
We probably won’t know what this letter contained, but this moment is still hilarious – especially thanks to the reaction of the two actors with the perfect chemistry that we will soon be able to discover on the big screen.
The Fall Guy will be released in theaters on May 1, 2024.
