The perpetrators use different pretexts (lost animal, financing a fair, a school trip, etc.) to enter the victims’ homes and steal means of payment.

So, here are some tips to counter thieves. “When someone comes to your home, always use a door opening or a peephole; ask to see the professional card front and back even if the person is in uniform; in case of refusal or doubt, do not let anyone in; avoid having visitors in the room where you hold valuable items; to verify the identity of strangers, use the telephone numbers you have on bills and other documents and those provided by the person who shows up or calls you; keep photos of your valuable goods as well as invoices. »
