A collective emotion. Friday April 26, 2024, The Guardian indicated that Kristi Noem, tipped to be Donald Trump’s potential vice-president, had killed her dog. The animal was named Cricket and was approximately one year and two months old. An announcement that was going to be revealed in any case since the Republican governor of South Dakota recounted it in her memoirs. The work will be published on May 7, 2024. “I hated this dog” who had notably ruined, she writes, a pheasant hunt “because she was overexcited”. The chosen one decided to shoot him. “It wasn’t pleasant, but it had to be done. And once I was done, I realized there was another unpleasant job that had to be done,” she recalled. In the midst of the campaign for the November 2023 presidential election, these revelations immediately caused a general outcry among the population and on social networks.
In the rest of her memoir, titled No Turning Back: The Truth About What’s Wrong in Politics and How We Move America Forward, Kristi Noem recounted killing a goat on her ranch on the same day as her Cricket dog. After missing the first time, Donald Trump’s protégé fired a second shot from her revolver. She described the animal as “unneutered and with a terrible smell who had a habit of charging at her children.” In opposition, dozens of elected Democrats, including governors, began posting on the networks (…)
