Over time, Rafael Nadal was able to conquer the hearts of the French.

For more than twenty years at Porte d’Auteuil, he gave everything until the break.

The 14 titles he won at Roland Garros made Nadal a player apart in the history of this tournament, a record that will be difficult to beat.

As the end of his career approaches, this book pays tribute to this fabulous destiny of the young Majorcan.

After hesitating between a football career and the one we know him for, Rafa Nadal is nonetheless a complete athlete.

In this work, we have given a voice to all those who crossed his path, on and off the courts. Numerous testimonies which implicitly draw the portrait of an extraordinary champion who can be called “greatest of all time” without risking sycophancy.

Fabrice Abgrall, the voice of tennis on Radio , and François Thomazeau, another great sports journalist, have followed him since his beginnings. Abgrall had the good idea, a few years ago, to write down all the player’s post-match declarations in small notebooks, but also those of his opponents as well as privileged observers. Taken at face value, these comments shed light today on the personality of this great champion.

He was not always unanimous, created some enmities, and ultimately left an indelible mark on his sport.
