A young woman was killed in an accident between her scooter and a motorist, in Beaugency in Loiret on Monday April 22. The Orléans public prosecutor’s office announces the opening of an investigation into involuntary manslaughter by the driver of a land motor vehicle.
A 17-year-old girl died Monday April 22 in Beaugency, in Loiret, in a road accident. The scooter she was driving and a car collided at the intersection of avenues Vendôme and Longchamp around 6:30 a.m., reported The Central Republic. An intersection controlled by a traffic light.
The driver of the car was not injured. The investigators’ initial conclusions regarding the circumstances of the accident have not been communicated.
The Orléans public prosecutor’s office informed this Tuesday, April 23, that a flagrant investigation was opened into the charge of involuntary manslaughter by the driver of a land motor vehicle. The motorist was also given a free hearing. The prosecution adds that the alcohol and drug tests carried out on the driver were negative.
