Starfield: Shattered Space DLC Gets a Stunning 9-Minute Presentation

Less than two weeks away from the release of the highly anticipated expansion Shattered Space Starfield, Bethesda has just shared a massive presentation of almost 10 minutes, including new information, as well as raw gameplay clips.

In Starfield's Shattered Space expansion, players will discover for the first time the planet of House Va'ruun, a faction that has been mysterious up until now. This new planet, entirely designed by the developers, will serve as the setting for an adventure centered on the followers of the Great Serpent. House Va'ruun will be on the verge of collapse, and the player's unexpected arrival on their hidden world will be seen as a divine sign. The player will thus have to decide the fate of this enigmatic faction, faced with an internal crisis.

In the base game, encounters with House Va'ruun are limited to sporadic attacks by their zealots. Their history is briefly touched upon in the UC Vanguard Museum, where they are described as a simple religious cult. However, Shattered Space will immerse players in the secrets of this fading civilization, offering a more nuanced perspective on the complexity and internal struggles of House Va'ruun, including events such as the partial destruction of their capital city by a mysterious vortex.

Players will explore Va'ruun'kai, a planet cut off from the rest of the Occupied Systems, where the population has lived in isolation for years. This atmosphere of isolation will give rise to a unique exploration experience, allowing players to uncover clues about the identity and past of this faction.

Discovering this isolated planet will offer a unique experience, with abandoned and dangerous areas, new weapons, and an emphasis on close-quarters combat. The gravity anomalies present on Va'ruun'kai will add a new dimension to the gameplay. Every corner of the planet will tell the story of a society that has lived in isolation for years, and the player will be free to explore this land full of mysteries while shaping the future of its inhabitants.
