“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us,” announced Taj, Taryll and TJ, the singer’s sons, through an Instagram post.
While Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, his older brother — and third child of the Jackson siblings — joined him this Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Although the circumstances of his death has not yet been officially announcedSteve Manning — a longtime friend of Tito Jackson and the family’s former manager — told the magazine Entertainment Tonight that the latter died after a heart attack while driving between New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Tito Jackson: a strong member of the Jackson 5, but not only that

Born on October 15, 1953, it was when he joined the family group Jackson 5 Tito Jackson achieved international fame. Alongside his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael, he performed on the hits I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save or even I’ll Be Theretitles that marked an entire generation, and much more.

Like his younger brother, Tito decides to fly on one’s own wingsand went solo. It was in 2016 that he released his first solo album, singularly named Tito Time. To date, he is the last of his brothers to have released an album.
Vibrant for music, the singer made his passion his profession and shared this love with his three boys. Like their father and uncles, Taj, Taryll and TJ (Tito Joe) decided to form a boy band: the 3Twhere Tito also had a role to play, that of manager.
