This is an unusual sale which will take place this Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Kyriad direct hotel, located rue Nicolas-Appert in Laon. A sale of mystery packages is organized for the first time in the city of Laon.
The principle is simple: the person buys a package that has never been claimed at a relay point without knowing what is inside. The buyer pays for the package not in relation to its contents, but according to its weight: three euros per hundred grams and thirty euros per kilo. “ It’s really haphazard. When you open it, it can be a nice surprise… or not”indicates the organizer of the sale, a self-employed woman who buys these packages from logistics platforms and then resells them to individuals.
“ Since the anti-waste law, all lost packages not claimed at relay points can no longer be destroyed by logistics platforms but can be resold after three months “, she explains. Dozens of entrepreneurs have therefore launched into the business of reselling these products. Mystery sales, such as the one that will be organized in Laon, have been increasing in the region for several months.
