After a special Roaring Twenties edition in 2023, the crazy Swing Explosion evening returns to Chambray-les-Tours, Saturday April 13, 2024 for a 7e edition whose theme is mysterious and very tempting: Fatal Cabaret.
“Fatal like New York and Nicolle Rochelle, the one who was Joséphine Baker in Jérôme Savary’s musical, and fatal like Spain and its exuberant and crazy blues with Cécilya Mestres, the two guests of the evening”, explains Stéphane Barral, double bassist and cornerstone of Swing Explosion.
The Swing Explosion musicians who are masters of swing, rhythm and blues and rock and roll will be accompanied for this 7e edition by two divas with communicative energy.

Nicolle Rochelle started on television at the age of 8. Then, between episodes of the famous Cosby Show, little Nicolle worked on singing, dancing and tap dancing before making her film debut. The artist then joined the cast of Fame on Broadway. Her decisive meeting with Jérôme Savary brought Paris to its feet in 2006, coming to acclaim this young woman of 28 who amazed her audience as Joséphine Baker.
Celilya Mestres, singer, songwriter and producer originally from Barcelona, is now based in Paris. Cecilya sings rhythm’n’blues, rock’n’roll and other American roots music throughout Europe (and Latin America). She is in love with the 1950s.
The recipe for this Fatal Cabaret is therefore: “One third bootleg bourbon, one third scorching chili and two thirds swing”laughs Stef Barral.
On stage, musicians Stéphane Barral, Cats Collecto, Mat Le Rouge, Simon Boyer, François Sabin and guests will set the stage on fire and create a thunderous atmosphere. Enough to trigger the desire to dance, all welcome.
