The d’Horizons dance festival returns for its 13th edition from May 29 to June 15 at the Choreographic Center of Tours (the CCNT of Tours-Ouest near the Marysa Bastié district) but also on numerous stages in Tours.

For dance lovers or the curious, we have selected three shows to see among the 16 performances and workshops offered by the festival program.

1 – The shadow of the evening dancers – Saturday June 1st at 3 p.m. or 5 p.m.

We begin this selection with a performance at the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours (place François Sicard). Indeed, this show is placed in parallel with the exhibition The Scepter and the Distaff. Being a woman between the Middle Ages and the Renaissancepresented at the museum until June 17.

During 30 minutes, The shadow of the evening dancersdesigned by Raphaël Cottin, offers its spectators a journey through the many female figures that make up History, mirroring those of the world of dance: “from Joan of Arc to Mary Wigman, from Catherine de Medici to Loïe Fuller, …”.

For a single price of €5, you can attend the performance but also visit the exhibition.

2 – Señora Tentación – Monday June 3 at 8 p.m.

Created between February and March 2024 by Roser Montllo Guberna and Brigitte Seth, Senora Tentacion tells the story of two women in love forced to hide. This creation demonstrates the link between the secret and the body: “The body betrays, the words slip, generating funny, absurd, but also fantastic situations.”

The performance, lasting 50 minutes, is scheduled at the CCNT (rue du Sergent Leclerc in Tours) with a price ranging from €5 to €12.

3 – A thousand and one dances (for 2021) – Tuesday June 4 and June 5 at 9 p.m.

A true ode to contemporary dance, this creation by Thomas Lebrun, director of the CCNT, certainly made it possible to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary but also, despite itself, to celebrate the freedom and bodily exchange that dance offers. , following a long period of restrictions due to confinements.

At the Olympia Theater, spectators will be able to enjoy, for 1 hour 45 minutes, 1001 dances performed by 15 dancers who will pay a real tribute to choreographic art. For one of the last performances of this creation, prices vary between €5 and €18.
