Werner Schlegel celebrated his seventh Kranzfest victory, after one at the Northwestern Swiss festival, and now for the first time at his own regional festival. This is his third Kranzfest victory in the current season, after the Thurgauer and Schwarzsee. Schlegel faced the defensively-minded Sven Schurtenberger in the opening round, then won all of his duels. At halftime he was still 0.75 points behind Armon Orlik and Domenic Schneider, but because the two of them were in fourth round, he moved into the lead from fourth round onwards. He defeated guest Matthias Aeschbacher for a place in the final round.

Schneider won the first three duels before drawing with Marcel Räbsamen. He secured his place in the final round against Thomas Koch. Armon Orlik drew with Damian Ott in the fourth round and missed the maximum score in the fifth round, which meant that after five rounds he was 0.25 points behind Schneider and Schlegel. Samuel Giger was unable to win after the second draw in the fourth round against Sven Schurtenberger. Finally, the Thurgau native also drew with Damian Ott. 56.50 points were needed for the wreath, 25 wreaths were given away. While both Bernese and both Central Swiss riders won the wreath, of the two small associations only Andreas Döbeli from northwestern Switzerland secured the oak leaf. He was the best-placed guest in brilliant third place.
