The shotgun blast in the face, which killed Mehdi Es Sadki, seated on the terrace of its Chicken’s Mix snack bar in Bourg-lès-Valence, this evening of Sunday June 14, 2020, marks the start of “the war of the clans” in Valence, settling of scores, against a backdrop of war between drug traffickers for four years. This Friday, the Rhône Assize Court, in Lyon, sentenced the shooter, aged around twenty at the time, to 22 years in prison et his co-author at 25 for organized gang murder. The trial lasted a whole week, since Monday.

The co-author appeals

The co-author’s lawyer tells France Bleu Drôme Ardèche that his client will appeal this verdict. “He denies having participated and he says that his DNA was found on the items used in the murder because his gloves, his helmet, etc. had been stolen some time before.” found abandoned near the TMAX scooter, which broke down during the escape, explains the lawyer. This co-author, aged around 30 at the time of the events and originally from the Plan district, was a close friend of the man designated by the shooter as the sponsor, during his custody. The shooter then withdrew, under threat he said.

This alleged sponsor, a 30-year-old man known for drug trafficking, particularly in the Plan district, was himself shot in the headas well as his older brother aged 37, six months later. For these two murders, the brother and mother of the manager of Chicken’s Mix are indicted.
