This desire to give new impetus to the agreement signed by the two parties in 2014 was expressed this Tuesday, November 12 in Rabat, during a working meeting held at the headquarters of the Moroccan Bar Association by its president, El Houssain Iziani, with Marie-Aimée Peyron, president of the European and International Affairs Commission of the National Council of Bars of France, in the presence of Moroccan lawyers and a representative of the French embassy.
«We want to boost our cooperation, particularly in the areas of defense of litigants, training and digital transformation.“, explained El Houssain Iziani in a statement for Le360. «We have also decided to create a joint commission between the Moroccan Bar Association and the National Bar Council of France, with a view to soon concluding a bilateral cooperation agreement.“, he continued.
Marie-Aimée Peyron, for her part, welcomed this initiative, insisting on “the agreement already solid» between the bars of the two countries. “Ethical issues, the independence of the profession, as well as the growing role of artificial intelligence in our sector were all subjects discussed with our Moroccan partners.“, she added. “The training of lawyers remains a common concern, essential for the future of the profession,” concluded the president of the European and International Affairs Commission of the National Council of Bars of France.
