- Temperatures Warmer Tomorrow
DISCUSSION:
As we approach today’s high temperatures, we finally see an upward trend on our temperature roller coaster. The highs from yesterday, which were in the upper teens and low 20s, are giving way to today’s highs in the upper 20s. By Thursday, we’ll see temperatures reaching the 30s, with forecasts indicating a return to the 40s by Saturday, although these still fall short of the average high of the mid-40s for this time of year.
Today offers a welcome break from the snow, featuring partly cloudy skies. This break will continue until tomorrow afternoon, with a slight chance of snow starting and persisting into Friday morning. However, this chance will diminish by midday Friday, leaving much of Friday and Saturday snow-free. As we approach the 40s, the likelihood of rain increases, starting midday Sunday and continuing into the evening, extending into the following work week.
LOOKING AHEAD:
As the first month of 2025 comes to a close, and what a cold month it has been, warmer weather is in store for February. The second month of the year is expected to bring warmer days with it. The monthly temperature outlook has been released, and all of Eastern Kentucky is expected to experience slightly above-normal temperatures.
The monthly temperature outlook for the second month of the year puts all of Eastern Kentucky in the slightly above-normal category. Don’t pack up your winter coat just yet! This just means that temperatures will be slightly warmer than they are on average from this time of year.
-Have a wonderful Wednesday!
