50 years of TF1: why is Évelyne Dhéliat absent from the special evening?
Present since the beginnings of TF1 where she was then an announcer, Évelyne Dhéliat regularly boasts of being “the oldest permanent employee of TF1”. If it was featured on the channel on January 6 – the exact day of the birth of TF1 – whether it was in the morning Bonjour or in the 1 p.m., the head of the weather service was not chosen to present the evening ahead in prime time. “It would have been possible, of course, Gilles Bouleau agrees with Tele-Leisure. But I also liked the idea of there being another look with Isabelle (Ithurburu, editor's note), a look from someone who is almost a generation younger than me. I thought it was pretty good because the 50th anniversary of TF1 is also her television, that of our children“.

Isabelle Ithurburu also asked herself the question before accepting the channel's offer to take charge of this special evening. After the initial surprise, the host did not “not hesitated at all“. “I think I was a child of television, I watched TF1 a lot, from my childhood to my life as a young adult, so I told myself that it was consistent. Like the people who will watch, I will have the pleasure of reliving and remembering certain moments“, greets the forty-year-old, who will meet Gilles Bouleau for the third time on the air after the events of May 8 (the arrival of the Olympic flame in Marseille) and September 14 (the celebration in Paris of Olympic and Paralympic athletes) .
